Job: Extension and refurbishment of dental practices

Oasis Dental Care Limited is the leading operator of dental practices in the UK and originated in Norwich where the head office is located. The company grew rapidly acquiring over one hundred dental practices over a 5 year period throughout the United Kingdom, from Plymouth to North Shields. During this rapid growth period Owen Bond Partnership were engaged to administer a programme of work to the company’s increasing portfolio of dental practices throughout the country. The work varied between the practices from a dedicated new-build surgery to minor refurbishment with many surgeries requiring extensions to accommodate the changing needs of the dental profession.

Owen Bond Partnership worked closely with the client and the dental practices to provide programmes of work that offered the client value for money and minimised the impact on the surgeries. The practice also worked with the specialist subcontractors on the surgery refurbishment to co-ordinate the technological and spatial requirements of the dentists into construction programme.

Many of the practices also had disabled access issues and, where possible, Owen Bond Partnership offered solutions to assist in complying with the Disabled Discrimination Act.
